The World Powder Metallurgy Congress was held for the first time in Beijing and achieved complete success.

　　The powder metallurgy industry is a highly important sector within the field of metal processing. Compared to other processing technologies, powder metallurgy involves greater technical challenges.

　　From September 17 to September 20, 2018, the 2018 World Powder Metallurgy Conference (WORLDPM2018) was held with great success in Beijing, China. The main theme of this conference was to create a platform that facilitates high-level exchanges within the powder metallurgy industry and to share the latest technological achievements of companies and experts from around the world, with the goal of driving technological innovation and fostering win-win cooperation across the entire industry. This Powder Metallurgy Conference attracted experts and technical scholars from 57 industrialized and developing countries, including the United States, Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Sweden, who came together to exchange ideas and engage in discussions.

　　The World Powder Metallurgy Congress is held every two years. Previously, it was mainly hosted in European and American countries. However, in just a few short years—from 2014 to 2016—powder metallurgy experienced rapid growth in China; therefore, this year’s Powder Metallurgy Congress has been chosen to be held in Beijing, China.
